Playhouse Theatre Incorporated presents The Anniversary - a dark comedy. Since Dad died, Mum has carried on the family business and profits have increased two-fold. Keeping a tight rein on her three sons, and using every verbal weapon in her considerable arsenal, Mum's plans for an anniversary celebration (despite her late husband's absence) bring out rebellion among the sons and her long-held reign is ended at last.

The Anniversary is a black comedy that contains domestic family and societal themes as they were in the 1960's to 1980's. Content note: Scenes of parental manipulation, dysfunctional family situations, and the public and private shaming of cross-dressing behaviour. Mild coarse language. Attitudes displayed in this play do not reflect those of PTI.
