Te Kauwhata Community Choir

Our community choir is a weekly opportunity for people to come together and sing for joy.
All voices are welcome. No audition necessary.
We are very informal, working predominantly off lyric sheets but sheet music can also be made available on request. We work with the voices in the room often arranging pieces into Alto and Soprano parts. We will find a part for everyone!
The choir is aimed at adults but we have had youth from 13yrs join us at times. We sing a wide range of music chosen by the group. Everything from Stan Walker to Sinatra, from Leonard Cohen to Lady Gaga, from Bette Midler to the Beach Boys.
The choir is led by Sandra Pace who trained in London in music education.
We do like to perform on occasion at local events and at our local retirement village. This is entirely optional but gives us a lovely focus and is lots of fun.
The choir runs on a koha basis. If you can spare $5 a week that helps keeping us solvent.
We'd love to meet you at a practice. We run every Thursday during the school term.
