Late SUMMER Foraging Workshop hosted by Felicity of Homegrown Botanica in Raumati South. Bookings essential.

Focusing on wild edible weeds flourishing all over New Zealand during the Hot Summer months. This is very different to my usual 'foraging workshop', as it focuses mainly on Hot Season plants.

If you enjoyed the first workshop you attended with me (any other time of the year), and want to learn more, then you’ll love this different offering, which delves even further into the world of edible wild weeds. Also suitable for beginners and first time foraging workshop attendees, we'll cover the basics.

We will discover abundantly available edible weeds. Most of these will be found in your lawn, local footpaths, abandoned areas, farmland etc, and you will recognise yet more edibles around the neighborhood ! Let’s keep it local and keep it real. The world is filled with edible plants but lets really get to know the ones that are right on our doorstep.

If you’ve been making lots of edible salads & cooked dishes with your wild weed knowledge, and are ready for something more, or you’ve lost your mojo and need some new inspiration, you’ll be able to add even more variety, nutrition, medicinal properties to your diet & toolkit during this workshop.

While we’ll be learning about entirely new/different weeds to my usual workshops, we’ll still be focusing on confident identification, including lookalikes, nutritional & medicinal properties, medicinal uses, legends & folklore, plus how to actually prepare these in your meals.
Investment includes hands on wild weed walk & discussion, a wild drink & wild taster.

Class sizes are limited to allow lots of space for your questions, so book early to avoid missing out. After booking you’ll be sent an email with exact location & further details for the workshop.
