Do you love storytelling shows like The Moth? Come join the growing art of live storytelling. Learn how to find ideas from your life, craft a compelling narrative, and deliver your story in a confident and entertaining way.

Description
Live storytelling is an artform unto itself, requiring different skills and techniques from standup comedy or prose writing. In this four-part workshop, you’ll learn:

- Creative writing exercises and daily practices to to find meaningful stories from your life
- Tools for crafting a compelling personal narrative
- Techniques to build suspense, drama, and humour into your stories
- Stagecraft and performance skills to heighten and polish your delivery

By the end of the class you'll have
- One or more polished 5-10 minute stories to showcase on stage
- Dozens of ideas to expand upon for future stories
- Writing practices to improve your life as a creative
- Less stage fright and more confidence as a speaker
