Stefania’s mother says, ‘Choose one thing that is most precious to you, that’s all we can take’. Watch a presentation based on the book ‘Stefania’s Dancing Slippers’ written by Jennifer Beck and illustrated by Lindy Fisher. It reflects the real-life deportation and journey of 733 Polish children and 102 adult caregivers who came to NZ eighty years ago. See the beautiful artworks from the book, then create your own craft in a workshop for families, ages 7-adult. Polish Museum, 125 Elliot St, Howick.
