Startup Weekend Taranaki 2024

Learn how to apply your entrepreneurial mindset to think, work, and build like a startup in 54 thrilling hours. Techstars Startup Weekend is an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups. Over an action-packed three days, you’ll receive world-class innovation training, meet the very best mentors, co-founders and funders, who will help you learn and innovate rapidly. Maybe you’ll even start that business you’ve been thinking about for ages!

Startup Weekend Taranaki has run eight times (once online). The event has been hugely successful and has contributed significantly to the development of Taranaki’s startup and innovation ecosystem.

Please note, the event runs Friday evening 5:30-11pm, Saturday 8am-11pm and Sunday 8am to 8pm.

All meals and snacks are provided throughout the weekend.

We are offering free childcare from 9am-4pm on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th. It will be a a nearby venue and offered in partnership with Flourish Taranaki - Community Parenting Hub. The number of spaces are limited though, so book in early.

We recommend you bring either a laptop or a tablet for the weekend, wifi will be provided. In the interest of sustainability we also ask that you bring a water bottle and reusable coffee cup for hot drinks too.
