Vision for the SPRING Eco Kai Fest: A family friendly event where like-minded people can display their goods and services to the general public on all resources environmental from insulating buildings to what we put on the table and into our bodies. This will be done through exhibitors selling and highlighting to the public what they have to offer in support of this theme. Workshops will occur through the day as people request. See below
The emphasis will be on how we as individuals can each make a difference around Climate Change issues. Includes Political Parties, Housing & Renting issues.

Murihiku Kai Collective Focus at Spring Eco Kai Fest includes displays, resources,  environment plants  workshops

Exhibitors– Forest & Bird resources, South Alive- great variety of enviro actions in South City, insulation, water, Waiau River, recycling, climate change, massage, School students winning projects- from recent Science & Technology Fair, Kiwi Harvest, sustainable food systems, Murihiku Good food map, political parties’ environmental policies, native plants, Healthy Families community gardens, flax weaving- raranga harakeke, dealing with pest species eg possums, Coal Action Network, Vegan Society, ICC Enviro team, Eco Church & more!!

Student activities include making animal models, free rides on reclining bike, Parkour activities, Kiwi Conservation Club, making putiputi harakeke- flax flowers…..

Workshops eg Sustainable Food Systems, 12 midday Remedial massage therapy and 1pm The Importance of Dark Skies.
