This powerful experience is like a soundtrack that is crafted to go with your life movie. "Something between an ancient ceremony and a movie soundtrack."
Hanover Hall is renowned throughout New Zealand for its incredible acoustics. It is the home of The Dunedin Symphony Orchestra and they share it with great pride, for this is a gem in the heart of the city.
We are in for a treat. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket.
It's hard to find the words to say how truly unique Sika's Sound Journeys are. They are sonic explorations that feature didgeridoos, drums, flutes, voice and orchestral elements.
Sika's collection of foraged sounds from objects he has recorded in nature, add even more textures. Many of his sounds are completely unrecognisable and remain abstract. Immersed in this cocoon of abstract sound, we can find ourselves in the most surprising places in our mind. It is in this timeless realm, beyond the normal limitations of an earthly reality, that anything is possible.
An epic adventure deep inside yourself.
Journey to worlds within worlds on incredible sound waves.
Sika creates a safe space to relax deeply and connect with our inner guidance. This Sound Journey begins and ends with a short guided visualisation.
There will be two journeys with an interval. Most people choose to lie down, so once again, please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket to get really comfortable.
A journal is also recommended.
