Jump into this foundational, elements of improv workshop! We will focus on making and accepting offers, forming a connection with your scene partner and then building a narrative from those building blocks. Participants will develop a toolkit for instinctual storytelling, sharpening their ability to respond in the moment and co-create with fellow performers. Discover your spontaneity in this 3 hour intensive workshop, by the end you’ll feel confident creating something from nothing!

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Ryan Knighton is a prolific improviser and teacher based in Te Papaioea, Aotearoa. He was a founding member of SpontaneoUS, Wellington Fringe Festival Award-winner and a two-time National Theatre Sport champion. Ryan is a regular presenter at the NZ Improv Festival and has just finished a production of “Farce Onion” as part of NZ International Comedy Festival. He specialises in narrative, story and comedy and is passionate about empowering people to fully embrace and explore the art of improv.
