A free, open-to-the-public film event will be held at the Christchurch Art Gallery on Sunday 16 June at 2pm to celebrate World Refugee Day (20 June). This event will be run by Amnesty International Ōtautahi Christchurch in partnership with Quakers Aotearoa and local refugee support services. This curation of short family-friendly films will feature the lives and challenges of being a refugee today, especially in some of the world's 'hot spots'.

Space will be provided in the Gallery foyer before and after the films for those attending to mix and mingle, meet community support providers, and to share stories and contacts. An Amnesty table will contain petitions which people are welcome to sign. For updates please follow Amnesty International Ōtautahi's Facebook https://www.facebook.com/amnesty.christchurch/ and Instagram pages www.instagram.com/amnesty_nz - or email amnestychristchurch@gmail.com .
