As proud supporters of writing in Queenstown, Remarkable Theatre brings two special one-act plays to the Queenstown Writers Festival. To bring stories to life is a pleasure and a privilege and these tiny dramas are sure to delight.
Love Letters
A Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama, A. R. Gurney’s play takes us on a journey through the lives of Melissa and Andy. See their complex and enduring relationship develop through the letters they write to each other over the years from 1937.
Chook Chook
Chook Chook revolves around the lives of four hens in a battery farm. One of Playmarket’s most requested scripts, New Zealand writer Fiona Farrell has since become a celebrated author known for her exuberant originality.
