Realnz Conservation Ball 2024

We warmly invite you to join us at the annual RealNZ Conservation Ball 2024, a pivotal event supporting our taonga (treasures) and the natural beauty of Whakatipu. This year, we gather to celebrate and aid the relocation of takahē to the Rees Valley, a place close to our hearts and homes here in Whakatipu, Queenstown.

Te Aroha for Rees Valley & Takahē
The journey began when takahē were reintroduced to the Greenstone Valley in August 2023. This achievement by DOC & Ngāi Tahu, with support of Fulton Hogan, was an exciting start for takahē in the Whakatipu and we are inspired to help make the next step possible. The Takahē Recovery Team are now looking towards the Rees Valley as stage two of establishing takahē in the Whakatipu - with a proposed transfer in early 2025.
By attending you contribute directly in helping us support the essential mahi to make this special place safe for these magnificent birds and other cherished species.

100% of your tīkiti (ticket) sales will fund this kaupapa, continuing our tradition of significant contributions like the $475,000 raised in previous years for the protection of our native wildlife, including kākāriki karaka, kārearea, kākāpō, and projects in Dusky Sound.

Your Tīkiti (ticket) Includes:
- A cruise across Lake Whakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on the Vintage Steamship TSS Earnslaw
- Beverages throughout the evening
- A gourmet dinner at Colonel's Homestead Restaurant
- Live entertainment and opportunities to bid on unique experiences / items, during our live and silent auctions
- A midnight steamship cruise returning to Steamer Wharf

- Cost: $500 + GST per guest OR $6,000 + GST per table of 12 guests
