Rachel Dawick’s previous album was finalist for NZ Best Folk Album and the result of three years of research into the lives of working class women who left the UK for NZ in the 1800s.

After living in the UK for the last five years Rachel has returned for a handful of concerts for her new album based on the work of Henry Mayhew who interviewed hundreds of working class East Londoners in 1850. From the Queen’s Rat Catcher to the Punch and Judy Man - Rachel will be joined by Susan Grant on slide Guitar and John Dawick as narrator for this final special Music May concert before returning to the UK two days later.
