Pride Writing Workshop With Ruby Porter

This Pride workshop will explore how to draw on your lived experience, write about events which are difficult to put into words, expand the emotional and dramatic moment, and, ultimately, escape your own 'writing closet'.

Ruby Porter is a writer, artist and teacher. She tutors creative writing at the University of Auckland, and in high schools. Ruby was the winner of the Wallace Foundation Short Fiction Award in 2017, and the inaugural winner of the Michael Gifkins Prize in 2018, with her debut novel Attraction.

Join us in the Whare Wānanga at the Central City Library, from 2-4pm on Sunday February 4.
