Whanganui community, join us for our weekly Potting up Party in the Native Plant Nursery at Pīwaiwaka Farm, the Learning Environment. All welcome to join in this relaxing, feel good activity. Come along to learn, try something new and have fun. Get your hands in the soil and enjoy a conversation across the potting table. We prick out and pot up native seedlings from morning till afternoon, join in for as long or short as you like. Coffee, tea and some snacks provided. Tunes, chats and enjoyable times guaranteed.
What to bring: weather appropriate gear, water bottle, your mates, your whānau /family, keen potting up energy and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit soily. Snacks and drinks are lovingly provided. If you have abundance to share, contributions to the kai table are welcome too.
Potting up is not only a joyous experience, you'll also be supporting us in a crucial stage of growing native rākau / trees, which support regional regeneration of our sacred local wai /waterways, precious ngāhere / forests, creatures and tāonga / treasures of Aotearoa, NZ.
