A crew of creatives in various fields, all with ties to the Hutt Valley, join James Dobson of Jimmy D to discuss the things that inspire and delight them. From early suburban years to travelling the globe in their various fields, find out what made the Hutt the hotbed of creativity that has spawned many a success story.

Hear about Dobson’s exploration of The Dowse collection for House of Dowse X Jimmy D and see how each of the other creatives would approach questions of influence and impact and the opportunity to run riot in The Dowse collection.

With Poet Laureate Chris Tse, bespoke perfumer Nathan Taare (OfBody) and prize-winning musician Vera Ellen, hear from people at the top of their field.

Don’t miss the special screening of Alison Maclean’s short film Kitchen Sink throughout the day. Kitchen Sink was a major influence of Dobson’s, and matches the domestic surrealism and suburban gothic themes seen in House of Dowse X Jimmy D.
