Otehei Bay Easter Fun Day

Hop over to otehei bay on easter monday to enjoy a fun day out with the family and the last of the long summer days on urupukapuka island. With hosted kids activities by the beach there will be no chance for anyone to get bored!

Otehei bay is a family friendly spot in a safe sheltered bay with a long sandy beach and generous shade under the trees. Our fully licensed beachfront café and bar will be open for lunch with cold drinks, coffee and ice cream to keep everyone fueled up for the afternoon.

Hosted activities are free and run from 12.30pm until 4pm including:
Easter egg beach dig | 3 legged race | egg & spoon race | arts & crafts | sandcastle competition | tug of war | giant jenga and so much more!

As well as the scheduled activities, you can explore the island on foot via one of the many coastal walking tracks, or from the water on either a kayak or paddleboard available for hire at otehei bay. Bay of islands kayaking will also be offering a special family discount for kayak and paddleboard rentals on the day!

Kids activities are free - just book your ferry ticket from either Paihia or Russell, or come across on your own boat.
