"Nancy Tichborne Retrospective" is the final exhibition of our season and what better way to end the season than to honour Akaroa's icon Nancy Tichborne and celebrate her wonderful career spanning over 60 years. Nancy's career began in 1960 at St Martins School of Art in London and since that time has lived in many parts of the world fostering a career including a fashion illustrator for South China, a fashion designer for a US fashion house, a freelance garden designer, co-author and illustrator of books with her two sisters, a book with husband Bryan and her own beautifully illustrated Water Colour World book. Calendars, diaries, stamps, and Nancy Tichborne teaching watercolour DVD's have all been part of this artists magnificent portfolio.
This exhibition is a wonderful display of Nancy's work reflecting her journey from her early teaching days, to flowers, cats, and latterly landscapes. Some of Nancy's original art work and also signed prints will be for sale.
We hope you will put aside some time to travel to Akaroa and view this wonderful exhibition honouring the late Nancy Tichborne.
This exhibition will be closed on Good Friday but open Easter Monday.
