Mind If I Smoke? BBQ Competition

Join us for a Festival of bbq sunday 16th june, 2024
BBQ Cooks will compete for more than $8000 in cash and prizes and to improve their positions on the Steak Cookoff Association NZ Leader boards.

A Golden ticket is awarded to the winner of each adult category. If the winner has already won a Golden ticket it will pass down to the next cook. The Golden Ticket gives automatic entry in to the SCA World Championship in Fort Worth, Texas - March 2025.

Competitions involve cooking a steak to perfection and our Ancillary Challenges bring out the cooks creativity to wow our judges with spectacular presentation and unforgettable flavours!

8:00am Bump In/Set Up plus Breakfast BBQ
9:00am Cooks Meeting/Steak Selection
10:00am Judges Briefing
11-11:30am 1st Ancillary Turn In – "anything with BBQs Direct Lip Smacker Sauce"
12-12:30pm 1st Steak Turn In
1-1:30pm 2nd Ancillary Turn In - "Tacos"
2-2:30pm 2nd Steak Turn
3-3:30pm Kids Steak Turn In
4:00pm Awards Presentation
