Arts in migrant and refugee communities
Each month, Toitū and the Centre for Global Migrations, University of Otago, invite different speakers to highlight the stories of Otago’s wide and varying migrant history. From early Māori-European encounters to modern refugees, and everyone in between, this series will barely break the surface on our region’s rich history of migration.
This August, Dr Pooneh Torabian, University of Otago Department of Tourism discusses how the arts are used to help migrant and refugee communities.
2pm, Friday 30 August
