Mexted Motors Spring into Tawa 2024

Mexted Motors Spring into Tawa is one of Wellington's premiere festivals - featuring a wide range of stalls offering quality craft items, entertainment across three stages, food trucks and more! We offer a wide range of children's activities - including face painting, entertainment, carnival rides, bouncy castle, balloon twisting and more - all free of charge. A wide selection of Wellington's premiere food trucks attend, adding to the awesome food and beverages on offer from the cafes and restaurants in Tawa. Located in the heart of the main shopping area of Tawa, this is an opportunity to experience this wonderful event and find out more about the shops and businesses Tawa has on offer.

Mexted Motors Spring into Tawa is a street festival, with food trucks, stalls and entertainment stages all located on the Main Road in Tawa - with something for everyone. Stalls include quality craft items, beautiful homewares and lifestyle items, fundraising and information about the services, groups and supports in the Tawa and wider community. There is a strong focus on our local community through this event - as well as drawing in people from all over the region.

This event is free entry - and accessible to all. Parking is plentiful in the surrounding streets and the festival is a 2min walk from the Tawa train station, and 2 mins walk from a bus stop for the Porirua-Johnsonville bus service.

The event is on a zero-waste journey, ensuring that as much waste is diverted away from landfill. In 2023, we achieved over 90% of waste was diverted from landfill. People attending are encouraged to bring their refillable water bottles, keep cups for hot drinks and reusable containers to get their takeaway food in.
