Want to feel cool, calm and confident to have supportive conversations in your life with someone you care about?

Look no further.

Mental Health First Response offers key supportive attitudes, skills and practices, so you can provide first response and co-care support to people in your life.  This succinct and robust training will enable you to respond quickly and effectively, to enable you to have the conversations that matter.

This course is made up of four 90min modules, delivered over 2 mornings via Zoom video conferencing.

Module 1. Mental Health Support Platforms - this session creates a strong foundation for understanding of best support practices.

Module 2. CRISIS Response - this session develops confidence and competence to respond to mental health crises.

Module 3. CONVOS Support Framework - this session guides you through a conversational framework to help you provide mental health support.

Module 4. Practice - this session supports you in building confidence by practising the skills and applying it to your context.

"Considering the restrictions of the Lockdown, I was super impressed with CoLiberate's ability to cohesively and mutually-supportively deliver this complex and multifaceted training even over video conferencing, with 12 attendees. I finished the first two sessions feeling much more positive that I could be more aware of behaviours that might indicate someone needs help, and that I can then be more helpful when someone requires support grappling with issues that might impact mental health."

- Mark Webster, Visitor Services Coordinator, Museum of Transport and Technology, Auckland.

"This course is among the most valuable training I have ever done, and should be regarded as essential."

John Rodger, Vector

"I was a bit concerned about training online as I prefer to work in a classroom environment, however, I think it worked really well.  We, the participants, didn't have to compete for the mic like I thought we would.  Our comments and feedback were acknowledged and our feelings validated.  The facilitators provided a safe space for me to feel comfortable to learn, practice and make mistakes...  Thank you CoLiberate!"

Marilyn Barbarich MSD

"I found this online training incredibly well organised, the Zoom environment was well structured and easy to navigate technologically (given the team sorted most of it!). Very impressed with the elegant simplicity, level of participation getting everyone engaged and practicing in a safe and comfortable way. Went away with a huge amount without feeling overwhelmed, emotional or confused."
