Matariki ki Papakura 2024

Nau Mai, Haeremai! ki te Wā Whakanui i a Matariki! Join us to celebrate Matariki/Puanga at Papakura ki Matariki Market 2024. On stage kapa haka performances by Papakura Intermediate School and Papakura Normal School. Other performers are the soulful singing Junelle Kunin and a rap fusion group - Naughty Natives. Korero by Rikki Solomon on Te Taiao, taongā puorō performance by Riki Bennett. Demonstrations by Whiri Aroha - Papakura Korowai weavers roopu and Blain Te Rito will be onsite carving.

Joining us this year are 'Sustainable Papakura', showcasing local art, craft and sustainable products.
