Make a Felted Ipad - Tablet Case

Join us for a fun-filled day making a felted case designed to fit your iPad / tablet / laptop. All materials and equipment will be provided.

In this class we will use wet-felting techniques over a resist to make a seamless case with magnetic clasps that will be large enough to hold an iPad, tablet or other items.

You will learn how to:
– calculate wool shrinkage so the case will fit your device
– layout wool fibres over a resist
– blend the wool colours and decorate your case with silk fibres and/or prefelts that you can cut into shapes and letters
– add magnetic clasps so that they line up perfectly and the back of the clasp is invisible
– full and shape your felt to make a beautiful and durable case that fits

These cases can have multiple uses…. What will you use yours for?

Class fee includes wool, decorative prefelts and a magnetic clasp, as well as use of basic felting equipment.

This class is for adults, and is suitable for beginner and intermediate felt-makers.
