Local artist Tayla Hartemink joins Wellington Museum for 2 special School Holiday Workshops inspired by tikanga, whānau and pūrākau.

Art materials provided by Gordon Harris The Art and Graphic Store.

Mahi Toi for ages 6-8
Friday 19 April, 10am – 12pm
Exploring temporary exhibition Te Ohonga: The Awakening, tamariki will learn how pūrakau passes down through the generations and create art for their whakapapa.

Mahi Toi for ages 9-12
Tuesday 23 April, 10am – 2pm
After exploring Te Ohonga, tamariki will learn how pūrakau passes down through the generations. Tamariki will then use traditional techniques to make natural paint pigments and create artworks for their whakapapa.

Note: For both workshops, parents will be signing in their tamariki at Wellington Museum and picking them up at Capital E.
