The 126th Mackenzie A&P Highland Show will be held on Easter Monday, the 1st of April 2024 at the Mackenzie A&P Showgrounds. The Mackenzie A&P Highland Show is the largest one day show in New Zealand with 12-15,000 through the gates.
A fun family day out with something for everyone for the cost of a movie! You will enjoy watching sheep shearing, a live sheep auction, sheep dog trials, wood chopping, agri-sports, fencing, the NZ Kennel Club and Highland dancing and music. There will be a pet tent and an exhibition of rare breeds of animals. The Barwood stage, sponsored by Fairlie Early Learners, will feature Josh Grimaldi, Eddie Simon Music and the Jae Bedford School of Entertainment. There are also all of the standard A&P animals and competitions... the Grand Parade is well worth watching and it is followed by the Fairlie Four Square lolly scramble. There will also be a large number of stalls, a variety of food and many other activities.
No matter where you are... it's not far to Fairlie!
Parking off of School Road. Adults $21.50 (inc booking fee), Under 15 $6 (inc booking fee), Preschoolers and cars free. Bring cash and please leave your dogs at home. Public entry from 8am. Keep up to date with details on our Facebook page and website.
