Luminous chalice vessel cast glass workshop - lost wax casting - an introduction to 3d core casting

Limited to four participants only!

This workshop is an introduction to the basics of 3D core casting using lead crystal glass.

Course participants will learn the art of lost wax casting creating their own chalice or small vessel and learning about investing the wax, steaming out and selecting glass for your fired work.

This course is open to all beginners with or without any experience. The tutor is a well documented and celebrated educator in the field of cast glassing and been teaching her craft for over 10 plus years in many areas around Auckland and at different venues across the Auckland Isthmus.

If you have been wondering how they do that, come and explore and learn for yourself.

This is a 2.5 day workshop covering one weekend from 10am till 4pm both weekend days and one Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

The course is first in first serve basis, which registration is required and either a 50% deposit to secure your place or full and final payment of $399.00 per peron.

Half a kg of gaffer crystal is made available for student's to use in this class, however, any extra glass used is at cost.

Bring with you a sense of inquiry and enthusiasm, and byo lunch. Refreshments for morning and afternoon tea will be available.
