To celebrate Matariki, we will be decorating kites at Chartwell!

Join us at The Conservatory (near Subway) on Tuesday, June 18th.

From 10 am until 12 pm.

Come and enjoy a fun and educational event where the little ones can decorate a kite to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year!
Kites, or "manu tukutuku," are special in Matariki celebrations. Traditionally, kites were flown to connect the earth to the sky, symbolising the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.
They were also used to communicate with ancestors, sending messages and prayers to the heavens.
Flying kites during Matariki is a way to honour those who have passed and celebrate the renewal and new beginnings that the New Year brings.

Don't miss this chance for your little ones to learn, create, and celebrate.

Enjoy a Free coffee card for you.

No need to book; we'll see you there.

Little Mornings are for kids aged 0 - 5.

Activities are on a first in, first served basis.

No need to register, just turn up on the day

Little Mornings occur every third Tuesday of the month from 10 am to 12 pm all year round.
(Excluding school holidays).
