We are pleased to announce the return of KO AU!

The next season of KO AU will be a three-day mini festival that will platform Projekt Team's fundamental pillars of freestyle, battle, and showcase. KO AU will be kicking off Matariki by showcasing our diverse cultures through the artistry of street dance.

Day 1: "PAREAU" is a freestyle showcase where different dancers will be tasked with creating brand-new pieces right in front of the audience. With only limited knowledge of elements beforehand such as music and staging, this promises to be an evening full of surprises.

Director: Sheldon Rua

Cast: TBC

Creative: Josh Mitikulena

Runtime: 60 minutes

Day 2: "KAINGA" is a battle event dedicated to community. It is open for anyone who wants to come and be a part of a village/tribe to battle and represent! An after party will follow for all people to celebrate!

Director: John Vaifale

Cast: Open to all who want to participate

Creative: Josh Mitikulena

Runtime: 120 minutes plus after party till late

Day 3: "LE'O" is a new rendition of our Ko Au showcase. This iteration will show a collaborative effort between Projekt Team and talented young dancers from high schools across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Director: Josh Mitikulena

Cast: TBC

Creative: Sheldon Rua and John Vaifale

Runtime: 60 minutes

We extend a warm invitation to all - join us for any or all of these days as we celebrate dance, culture, and community.
