Kid’s Nature Discovery Walk

Discover the amazing sights and sounds of our local Fairbrother loop track in Ōhope Scenic Reserve. Learn about our local kiwi population and their predators along with a nature hunt, bug hotel hunt, rope scrambling, native tree discovery, and bird identification!

This will be an interactive and fun two-hour session aimed at younger children aged 5 to 10 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and a maximum of four children per accompanying adult is recommended.

Please bring a drink bottle, snacks, sunscreen and a camera. Please wear appropriate clothing, a raincoat (if appropriate), and sturdy, closed-in shoes (no jandals!). Whilst the Trust team will have first aid kits, please bring any personal medication you may require (e.g. asthma inhalers).

A moderate level of fitness is required for this walk, as the trail consists of short uphills/ downhill slopes and tree roots and steps.
