Joyful Youth Orchestra

The Joyful Youth Orchestra, an Auckland-based Korean youth ensemble, is coming to Whangarei for their 3rd annual concert!

This talented group will perform at the Forum North Centre on Saturday, 5th October 2024 at 5:00 PM, and best of all, it’s completely free for all ages! This concert is unlike any other. The orchestra will enchant you with a wide variety of music, from Korean and Māori folk songs to old English pop hits, and timeless classical masterpieces. Whether you’re a fan of traditional music or modern tunes, there’s something for everyone!

Although based in Auckland, the conductor, Sang Soo Lee, is a proud local of Whangarei. Traveling to Auckland weekly for rehearsals, he is committed to sharing the joy of music with his hometown, and this annual concert is his special way of giving back to the community.
