Come along to our free Japanese Film night, co-organised with the Japan Foundation, Sydney!
Suzume’s journey across Japan begins when she meets a young man named Sota looking for a door. Following him, Suzume wanders into a ruin in the mountains, where she finds an old door. As if gravity has pulled her and the doorknob together, Suzume opens the door – the door which unleashes destruction and disaster. Here began Suzume’s adventure of locking the doors across Japan, preventing yet another disaster. Through this journey, what awaited Suzume was not only the heartwarming interaction with her new friends but also a forgotten truth - her past.
