Workshop with Kyla Cresswell

An intaglio technique was often used by artist Marilynn Webb and involves carving fine lines into linoleum and inking into the carved line to create prints.

In this hands-on introductory workshop led by printmaker Kyla Cresswell, you’ll learn this printmaking technique which has been adapted to re-use Tetra Pak containers whereby the Tetra Pak is scribed into to create a printing plate.

All materials provided. This workshop is designed for adults, suitable for ages 14 and older.

Liquid paperboard containers, commonly known as Tetra Pak, are used to hold long-life milk, juices and alternative milks. Feel free to bring in your own washed containers to use in the workshop. To make washing the container easier, you can cut open the container, longways from each top corner to the bottom corner.

Booked, but unable to attend? Please let us know on 03 474 3240 or mya.morrison-middleton@dcc.govt.nz
