Ever fancied growing your own veggies but don’t know where to begin? Our Free beginner-friendly gardening waananga with local legend Barbara Carney is your perfect starting point! Master the basics of soil prep, seed sowing, and watch those first sprouts bloom.

After the event, we’ll also have ongoing opportunities for you to volunteer in our community garden. Whether it’s weeding, planting, or just enjoying the outdoors, you’re welcome to join us, regardless of your experience level!

So, if you’re keen to make a difference, RSVP now and help us look after our local whenua.

Note: Apologies, we can’t accommodate tamariki (children) in this programme.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Friday 15 March – Sunday 14 April 2024. Inspiring climate action across Tāmaki Makaurau, it is hosted in collaboration by EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust, and proudly supported by Auckland Council. Visit ecofest.org.nz and join us!
