It's time for Love Lamp's unique combination of improv and stand-up comedy.

This month we are joined by one of New Zealand's most exciting comedians, Tony Lyall.

Get ready for a funny, high-energy show combining stand-up comedy with short, funny (and sometimes inappropriate) improvised sketches - we don't know what will happen, but we know it will be fun/wild/out of control!

- Doors at 7.30pm, show starts 8pm sharp.
- $10 cash door charge (no cash out available from the bar). Pre-sales through Eventfinda.
- Wine Cellar - walk through St Kevin's Arcade, down the stairs on the left

About Tony Lyall:
Tony Lyall is one of New Zealand's most exciting comedians. Having performed up and down the country, Tony's mix of high energy storytelling, off the cuff crowd work and general good times vibe makes him a crowd favourite on any stage he appears on.

Tony is a stand up comedian, and is known for his work on 7 Days, The Project, Radio Hauraki and multiple NZ International Comedy Festival Galas. He has performed 5 solo hours as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival and at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

About Love Lamp:
Nominee, Best Improv Group, NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2023

"Exactly what I never knew I needed in my life"

“... one of the most enjoyable improv I have ever seen.”

“The combination of stand up - sketch comedy - and audience inclusion was exactly what I never knew I needed in my life”

"A night spent crying of laughter! Get along if you know what’s good for you. Would highly recommend!!"

"Geuinely the most fun blur between performers and audience members and for ten dollar tickets you literally lose money if you do not attend"

"Your bold, joyful, audacious style was absolutely infectious and you managed to bring the audience into your crazy world right from the start. Super fun"

"Lamps back! love it! my daughter Matisse loved it too, she thought it was brilliant."

"Saw the always fun Love Lamp last night (Thursday). Chaotic, very funny, anarchic, daft, and 100% fun. Go. See. be puzzled and tickled and deeply amused. Love the Love Lamp."

FAQ:
Will I need to participate as an audience member?
The first half of the show does not require audience participation. Everyone is invited to take part in the open improv jam at the end, but no pressure if you just want to watch.

What is this? What's going to happen?
An experienced stand-up comedian delivers three short sets of stand-up material throughout the show. Each set is followed by Love Lamp's fast-paced improvised scenes inspired by the comedian.

What is the "open improv jam"?
The second part of the show is an "open improv jam", which means we play improv games that everyone can participate in. It is a lot of fun (but don't worry, you can just watch!).

Are there door sales on the day?
Yes, door sales will be open from 7:30pm.
