History of Eskdale with Michael Fowler

Eskdale is a beloved part of Hawke's Bay, residing in the Hastings District, but of course closer to Napier.
Historian Michael Fowler, in an illustrated talk, will look at the history of Eskdale, including its early settlers, church, railway, river, Māori pa, France Boys' home, Hukarere College, 1924 and 1938 floods, changing land use, and Cyclone Gabrielle.

All proceeds will go to the new MTG Hawke's Bay storage and archival facility in Hastings.
MTG Century Theatre, Thursday 11 July, 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
