We’ve got chocolate and gougères galore at our Hippopotamus High Tea, for an afternoon of excess and indulgence fit for Marie Antoinette herself.
Dainty floral teacups and porcelain tiers stacked high, plates filled with a smorgasbord of sweets, savouries and slices crafted by the talented hands of our chef de patisserie.
Executive Chef Antoine’s award-winning Chocstock chocolate brownie, crowned supreme winner by Peter Gordon himself, features alongside tiers of macarons, vanilla flan pâtissiers and an almond and mandarin financier. There’s vol-au-vents, prosciutto and cream cheese on corn bread and salmon rillettes blinis. We’ve pulled out all the stops for a decadent daytime dalliance set amongst charming, crushed velvet and sunlit chandeliers.
