Discover the lost world of prehistoric New Zealand with Associate Professor Nic Rawlence. While much of Aotearoa's wildlife vanished with human arrival, groundbreaking research using ancient DNA and fossils is uncovering new insights into the animals that once thrived here. In this fascinating talk, Nic will reveal how his lab is rewriting the story of New Zealand's extinct and living species, thanks to the priceless collections held in museums.
Nic Rawlence is the Director of the Otago Palaeogenetics Lab, specializing in the impacts of humans and climate change on ancient ecosystems, and is known for busting a few myths along the way!
