Calling all singers!
Save the date - Saturday June 22nd - for a SING-IN - an afternoon of music-making in the magnificent Waiapu Cathedral. Come and sing the beautiful Glorias by Vivaldi and Rutter, some of the most beloved vocal music in the choral repertoire.
The event will be led by Anthony Tattersall, Director of Music at Waiapu Cathedral, and Michael Fletcher, past Director of Music at the Catholic Cathedral in Wellington; both are expert musicians, wonderful organists, encouraging conductors – and fun to work with! This will be the 5th successful Sing-in they have run.

Doors open at noon, and the workshop begins at 12:30. Scores will be provided on the day. After introductions and warm-up we will learn the music, take a short break, and then continue the rehearsal. We'll enjoy afternoon tea together, and then perform the works in a short concert, accompanied by the Cathedral Strings. Anyone who can read music and loves to sing is welcome to come along.
It will be helpful for us to know how many people to expect, so we have appropriate supplies of scores and refreshments; so, if you are keen to participate, please register now:
online at http:/www.iTicket/co.nz or phone 0508 iTICKET (484 253). Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students; *transaction fees apply
