Since 2013, Friends of Pātaka have run an annual awards for artists living, working or studying in Porirua. Many previous winners have furthered their art, and those who win the Open Award are supported to use the facilities at Pātaka as the artist in residence for a month. Check out eligibility to enter criteria at friendsofpataka.org.nz/art-awards and make sure to see the exhibition, where entries will be for sale.
