As a couple emigrated from Holland, our choice to purchase land in the Outer Pelorus was not an easy one but it came with its own reward (and hardship). Carrying out conservation work on the land led us to start breeding species for release. After over 20 years living in the Sounds we decided to go on a new journey, starting Koru Native Wildlife Centre, which is now located in Blenheim. Our charitable trust, Tui Nature Reserve Wildlife Trust, is now focussing on bringing conservation to the community and the wider public
