Foraging with Peter Langlands

Join foraging expert and author of Foraging New Zealand Peter Langlands for a gentle walk looking at 25 edible species to forage from the edges of the Ōtākaro Orchard and Ōtākaro Avon River. Langlands will show key foraging environments and ways to use your smartphone to accurately identify wild plants and fungi, and will discuss the importance of contributing observations to iNaturalist to add to our collective knowledge of our flora and fauna. Ways of integrating foraged foods into your weekly meals will also be discussed. Refreshments made using foraged ingredients and a snack will be provided.
