Join Wellington Museum for a fascinating floor talk about the rich history of Chinese Wellington. The story of The Favorite Milk Bar will be told by Kerry Ann Lee, grand-daughter of the Milk Bar’s original owner, Harry Chin.

Kerry Ann Lee is an artist, Associate Professor at Toi Rauwhārangi, College of Creative Arts at Massey University and the daughter of Esther Lee (Esther and her father Harry Chin star in the story of The Favorite Milk Bar).

Perhaps you remember sinking ice cream spiders and dancing to rock n’ roll until midnight at The Favorite Milk Bar? Whether you want to take a walk down memory lane, or learn more about the history of Chinese communities, people and businesses of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, we’d love to see you there!
