To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week (September 23 – 27) this year, Arataki Ministries in collaboration with Emerge Aotearoa, Salvation Army, Te Awhi Whanau Charitable Trust and Whangarei Care are holding a community Expo. The theme is “Community is what we create together”.
The Expo will be held at Hihiaua Cultural Centre on Wednesday September 25 from 10am to 3 pm. It will be an interactive event with art sessions, exercise to music, poetry, a live band, special performances, games, competitions, and giveaways. Free Lunchtime Sausage sizzle.
Our goal is to create a fun day that show cases peoples uniqueness and talents and encourage dialogue, reduce stigma, and promote mental health awareness and within the community.
