Join us for an intimate evening of haunting indie-folk/americana music with Eden Iris, special guest Kim Halliday, and warm up act Sarah Charlie Rose. Eden will be performing songs from her album The Fuchsia & the Grey in Tāmaki Makaurau for the very first time!

Worse Things, a single off the album, was co-written with Maia Sharp (Bonnie Raitt, Cher) and was featured in Billboard and American Songwriter Magazine. Eden Iris has been described as an artist with the ambition to carve out her own niche on the immense tree of folk-inspired music” (Tobi, Demerara Records). Moving to Los Angeles at 20 years-old with just a suitcase and a guitar, Eden’s music has taken her to cities such as Nashville, Austin, and New Orleans, to perform and co-write with established songwriters.

Commanding a strong live performance with her dynamic rhythm guitar technique, Eden has supported acts such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Gin Wigmore. In 2020, Eden received a grant from the NZ Music Commission to perform at the Folk Alliance International Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she supported Tami Neilson and Troy Kingi. Recording and producing out of her home studio, Eden combines her love of infectious pop melodies and the grit of Americana stringed instruments to create a unique and compelling storytelling experience for her listeners.

Performing with Eden Iris is special guest Kim Halliday: Kim is a multi-instrumentalist and was the principle composer for Pacific CurlsTrio, for 12 years (3 national tours) (9 years touring overseas). She has been involved in over 20 different groups, and 38 recorded works, she has composed for 3 documentary film tracks. Kim has performed solo ukulele at the Melbourne Ukulele Festival, and was part of 3 composition workshops held at The Banff Centre in Alberta Canada, where she wrote music with Juno Winner Leela Gilday. Kim currently performs with Gitbox (six piece guitar ensemble), Kita Trio gypsy jazz, Whirimako Black Trio and Jackson, Tunks, Halliday with Cat Tunks and Krissy Jackson.

Sarah Charlie Rose will be supporting: Sarah is a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist originally from Kirikiriroa who now resides in Te Henga, Tāmaki Makaurau. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Music Performance in jazz in 2012 and has regularly performed in jazz, soul, folk and country bands since. Currently, Sarah is focused on developing her own projects with the release of her duo Little Weird’s debut Ep in 2022 and their next Ep out later this year which was co-written and developed with Age Pryor (Fly My Pretties, Congress of Animals, Wellington Ukulele Orchestra).
