From seasoned poets, to total newbies, to the simply-a-bit-curious, all are welcome to discover the magic and excitement of poetry, to get involved in the poetry community, and to discover New Zealand poets, share poems and explore and experience what poetry is all about.
Each meeting has a theme, available at the library or see on our What's On For Adults site, to guide the discussion. Refreshments provided.

February - the 5 senses
March - discuss the idea of publishing a group anthology
April - Haiku walk
May - cut up poetry (materials supplied)
June - gratitude/joy
July - visual prompt poems (pictures provided)
August - speed poetry
Sept - NZ poetry
Oct - random acts of poetry (bring a selection of poems)
Nov - colouring-in poetry (materials supplied)
Dec - Advent poems
