The Unknown: The spellbinding Lon Chaney plays an armless knifethrower smitten with his circus assistant (Joan Crawford) in this twisted silent grand guignol masterpiece.
Freaks: One of the most controversial Hollywood films of all time, Tod Browning brought together real-life carnival workers to play characters who discover that ‘the normals’ are the real monsters.
