Every whānau has mana. Parents have a powerful opportunity to enhance that mana and strengthen relationships.

Registrations are essential. Doors open 5.30pm with a free sausage sizzle for registered attendees. Conversation starts at 6.30pm, with the opportunity to ask questions. Spaces are limited. If you have registered and can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite to be a good human and free up the seat.

Drawing on both traditional matauranga Māori and western scientific knowledge, 'Building an Awesome Whānau' is a parenting talk for anyone who calls Aotearoa home. While this kaupapa is delivered through a Māori lens, it is not exclusive to a Māori audience. Parents across Aotearoa are facing an everchanging landscape and this presentation offers hope and wisdom, equipping and energising parents to positively shape their whānau and community.

Pio Terei (MNZM) is a much-loved television personality and proud dad. Parenting Place is honoured to have him as a pou tangata and kaikōrero within the organisation. Visit parentingplace.nz to learn more about Pio and access more information about building awesome whānau.

Update 26/4: There are no further spaces available in the Youth Space for tamariki.
