Pets are a Revolution in our Lives!
How has your Dog or pet created a Revolution in your whanau/family?
How have you evolved with a Pet as a family member?
Come and share your ideas at the Black Dog Walk Off Fathers Day Edition, at North Hagley Park as part of 2024's Divergence Festival: Revolutions.
Since the first Black Dog Walk Off at Divergence 2019, Thriving Madly has held regular walk offs as an opportunity for a short walk and a catch up. But don't worry if you don't have a black dog, or a dog at all for that matter; dogs are not a requirement.
In fact, you might even find one of us walking our imaginary alternate reality dogs as we join in the fun and connection. We look forward to meeting you and your real or imaginary friends/pets. Black Dog Walk Off is a key component of Divergence.
It is an opportunity to make visible what is often a hidden community. The use of the Black Dog is in reference to the analogy that is often used by people facing the experience which is commonly known as depression.
We are grateful to again gather at North Hagley Park, and have again arranged for the awesome Coffee Shotz coffee cart team to join us, so we can to grab a beverage, sit and chat.
We will have spot prizes for doggos, real or imaginary.
All welcome, so click 'interested' to get updates via Facebook and to help us with coffee planning!
