Beach Clean-up, Te Atatū Peninsula - Ecofest

In collaboration with Te Taiao Conservation Network, we invite you to join us in clean up of the Waitematā Harbour at Harbour View Beach Reserve, Te Atatū Peninsula.

This is a weekend event, so don’t be shy; grab your whānau, a mate (or two!) and give back to our beautiful moana.

On the day, there will be a sign-in station where volunteers will pick up gear, be given a briefing, and then head out for a beach clean-up, litter survey, and audit. The Rivercare Group will be part of the event and provide valuable information about the area as well as share some volunteering opportunities to engage with the community. Forest and Bird will talk about the importance of pest control and trapping, while Birds NZ (Auckland branch) will highlight the significance of the area for bird biodiversity.

Afterwards, we will celebrate our mahi with music, games, and Phoenix Organics drinks.
